Equinox is a crossover SUV built by Chevrolet on GM Theta platform. First model was released in 2004. First generation was produced between 2005 and 2009 with 3.4 L V6 or 3.6 L V6 engine and 5 or 6-speed automatic gearbox. Two trims were also available – Sport and GXP. Pontiac Torrent was released based on Equinox, also Equinox LTZ was introduced to the market. Second generation was manufactured from 2010 to 2017 and the third version was released in 2018 and four trim levels were added to third generation: L, LS, LT and Premier. Over 200 000 units of Equinox are being sold annually.
