KIA is South Korean car manufacturer, second-largest in the country, that was founded in 1944. There are over 3 million of KIAs being sold annually. About 33 % of KIA is owned by Hyundai and some of Hyundai subsidiary companies are owned by KIA. Name of KIA can be explained as a derivative from Korean character “ki” (“to come out”) and a (Asia). KIA was founded as a company that manufactures bicycle parts, later small motorcycles were built under license of Honda. First plant that were suited to produce vehicles was opened in 1973. As being recognizable brand all across the world, KIA exports production to many countries.
